A Look at the DIA Playoffs
It’s right around Spring Break. Maybe the college players are done with mid-terms and looking ahead to final exams. For DIA rugby, that means the playoffs.
We had a look at the playoff scenarios and situations, and here’s what we’ve got:
Momentum for Lindenwood?
Now the job gets a little harder.
After losing a close one to Life and winning a close one over Davenport, Lindenwood looks to unseat Life at home, and perhaps put them in a position to win the Mid-South.
Lindenwood Gets By Davenport
The Mid-South DIA college conference continued its string of very close games, with Lindenwood just getting past Davenport 20-16 Saturday in the Charles Labry Memorial match between the two rivals.
The teams were deadlocked 10-10 before two JP Eoff conversions put Davenport up 16-10 at halftime.
Lindenwood Hosts Davenport
The Mid-South continues to live up to ita reputation as a game where anything can happen. Yes, Life University is 2-0 in the conference, but those wins came by three and four points, respectively.
Aztecs Looking Up
The California Conference may well be all wrapped up for the St. Mary’s Gaels, but 2nd place isn’t a bad place to be, and San Diego State might well end up there.
After winning a wild one 59-44 over Santa Clara, the Aztecs are now 2-1 and only have their April 12 clash with Cal Poly left on the docket (Cal Poly is 1-1 and plays 0-2 UC Santa Barbara this Friday).
