Where We Are in D1AA

We're down to the key weekend in CRAA Men's D1AA and here's where we stand.

NCRC

Western Washington has enjoyed one of their most consistently good seasons, and clinched the NCRC top spot last week in a win over University of Washington. At 7-0, WWU has one more game, but they've got it wrapped up.

Improving Penn State Takes on Wary Lindenwood

One of the interesting things about the Next Phase Rugby all-freshman group published late last fall was how many Penn State players were on there.

Still-new Head Coach Zac Mizell is very active on the app, but that’s only part of it. The freshmen matriculating to Penn State are playing, as Mizell changes the team’s fortunes.

College 7s Qualifiers: Hoosiers Happy

Indiana won the Yellow Rose Showcase 7s over the weekend to clinch a place in the NCR CRC 7s this spring.

IU ran the table beating, among others, Texas A&M, Southern Nazarene, and Harvard.

The 38-7 scoreline in the final against SNU is an indication of how strong this team is.

D1A Rankings for 2025-26 Week 23

Lindenwood's razor-thin win over Life is enough to put the Lions ahead of the Running Eagles, but, of course, it's close.

But it's worth remembering that the Lindenwood victory was on the road, which carries a bit more weight. Lindenwood might have bumped up to #3 or #2, but Saint Mary's did very well in winning over Cal Poly, so they hold onto #3.
