Men’s Division 1AA (D1AA) represents a highly competitive tier of collegiate rugby in the United States, featuring programs governed by both National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) and the College Rugby Association of America (CRAA). It serves as a bridge between elite Division I play and developing Division II or Small College levels, offering strong regional competition and a pathway to national championships under each organization’s structure. While NCR and CRAA operate independently, both use the D1AA designation for schools with established programs that may not have the depth or resources of top-tier D1A teams.

Massive MARC Clash As St. Joe's Visits West Chester

The two undefeated teams in the Mid-Atlantic Men’s DIAA conference meet up this weekend as St. Joseph’s faces West Chester.

This has developed into a very nice rivalry, as St. Joe’s Head Coach Dan Yarusso continues to build long-term success in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, Bjorn Haglid hasn’t been at West Chester as long, but his arrival has spurred West Chester to new heights.

The hard-charging prop was massive against very accomplished opposition Saturday as he led the Golden Bears to a 34-24 defeat of Penn State.

Men DIAA Rankings Week Of Oct 12

Western Michigan looked very impressive in winning over Louisville, and Lindenwood-Belleville looked solid in a win over Iowa.

Salisbury beating Virginia Tech isn't quite enough to bump Salisbury to be ranked ahead of VT. Tech has been playing well and a two-point loss isn't always a reason to switch places. Salisbury is 2-1-1 in-conference and needs to show consistency.
