Men’s Division 1AA (D1AA) represents a highly competitive tier of collegiate rugby in the United States, featuring programs governed by both National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) and the College Rugby Association of America (CRAA). It serves as a bridge between elite Division I play and developing Division II or Small College levels, offering strong regional competition and a pathway to national championships under each organization’s structure. While NCR and CRAA operate independently, both use the D1AA designation for schools with established programs that may not have the depth or resources of top-tier D1A teams.

Bowl Win Means Much for North Texas
There was much to prove when North Texas took on Rutgers Saturday in the ACRC Bowl Series.
UNT entered the weekend ranked #50 by Goff Rugby Report among fall DI teams. A loss to unranked Rutgers (a team close to the top 50 for sure) would likely have seen UNT dropped from the rankings.
Wild Finish as Tennessee Wins SCRC
Tennessee is the SCRC conference champion after a tense, wet, and dramatic final played during the ACRC Bowl Series games at the RAC in Charlotte, NC.
In a game that saw multiple lead changes, Tennessee won on the final play of the game, with lock Kerry Roberts scoring the winning try as time expired.
