Urban Rugby Championship Announces Teams to Compete in March

Dallas, Texas — The Urban Rugby Championship (URC) has announced the seven premier programs selected to compete in its 5th Annual tournament this March in Dallas. 

Supported by the US Rugby Foundation (USRF), this milestone event brings together the nation’s most impactful urban rugby organizations to showcase high-performance talent from under-resourced communities.

Strong Start for USA Men 7s in Kenya

Both the USA and Kenya are 3-0 after Day 1 in the Men’s SVNS 2 tournament in Nairobi.

As expected, Uruguay provided a bit of a stern test, but the Eagles held on in that game and won comfortably over Belgium and Canada to win all of their Saturday matches.

Restart Success Leads USA U18 Boys Performance

Every now and then a USA age-grade team puts in a performance and you get the feeling that, hey, maybe we’re not crazy.

Of late the USA U20 and U18 teams on the men/boys and women/girls sides have both had their moments, and certainly for the U18 boys, the Global Youth 7s was one of those moments.

Hugely Successful Global Youth 7s for USA U18s

The Global Youth 7s turned out to be a very successful trip for the USA U18 teams.

The USA Girls wrapped up their tournament with a 4-2 record, beating Cook Islands on Day One, taking down NZ Babas and Japan 26-12 and 35-17, respectively, on Day Two, and then also beating the BaBas 33-17 on Day Three.

Day One Wraps at Global Youth 7s: North American Update

Day One at the Global Youth 7s is in the bag and it’s been a pretty positive day for the USA and North American teams at the event in Auckland, NZ.
