Four months…yes just 4 months from the 15th Anniversary of the largest sevens rugby festival in the Americas. Along with a couple tournament firsts being announced.
Premier Rugby Sevens Academy and Youth Camps in Portland, Ore. in 2025
Following the record-breaking PR7s All-Star Tournament at Providence Park last fall, Premier Rugby Sevens (PR7s) is strengthening its presence in the Pacific Northwest with the launch of the PR7s Portland Rugby Academy and Camp Series. The new programs will provide young athletes with elite coaching, competitive play, and a direct pathway to collegiate and professional rugby.
Day One of Bermuda 7s in the Bag
Day One of the Bermuda 7s is in the bag with US collegiate and collegiate-age teams in action.
Leading the way is the Bermuda U23s, who went 3-0, and the Saratoga U23s, made up of collegiate players from the Albany area (Siena, RPI, Albany), which went 3-0, allowing just two tries.
One Day of Fun and Then See The Stars: The LA Invitational
All brackets remain open for the LA Invitational May 2, 2025.
The tournament will be just on the one day, Friday, May 2. It's possible that one or two brackets might extend to having a Saturday game in one of the stadiums during the LA Sevens, but for the vast, vast majority of teams playing, they will play just on Friday.
National 7s Youth Rugby Championship Registration is Open
The National 7s Youth Rugby Championship is back for another year and will return to Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio.
The Girls U16 and U14 brackets return and that has been a fixture of the tournament. However in 2024 the response for those brackets were low. The hope or expectation is that girls teams will be back.
