Teams Make Statements at Puriri Memorial Invitational

Cavemen and Herriman led the way in the Puriri Memorial Invitational over the weekend in St. George, Utah, but other teams showed well in this preseason rugby event.

Held in memory of Ra Puriri and Michael Puriri, both instrumental in the growth of rugby in Utah, the PMI is a must-play event for teams in the Beehive State and also teams from out-of-state.

Utah HS Rugby Kicks Off With Puriri Memorial Invitational

Utah's preseason tradition returns this upcoming weekend with the 2026 Puriri Memorial Invitational.

Held to honor the memory of Ra Puriri and his son, Michael, who, along with Michael's brother, Colin, have been instrumental in coaching and promoting high school rugby, the Puriri Invitational hosts some of the top rugby teams in the West.

Urban Rugby Championship Announces Teams to Compete in March

Dallas, Texas — The Urban Rugby Championship (URC) has announced the seven premier programs selected to compete in its 5th Annual tournament this March in Dallas. 

Supported by the US Rugby Foundation (USRF), this milestone event brings together the nation’s most impactful urban rugby organizations to showcase high-performance talent from under-resourced communities.

North Carolina Final Heads HS Weekend

It’s a break weekend in many high schools so things dial down a little bit.

The main game this weekend is the North Carolina school final between Charlotte Catholic and Huskies out of Hough, NC.

These two teams met up earlier in the season and that produced Charlotte Catholic’s closest game of the season, a game they won by the score of 14-12.
