Bend Defeats Camas to Win Oregon
The Bend Blues defeated Camas 24-12 Saturday afternoon to win the Rugby Oregon state championship.
The two teams went through the entire season pretty much deadlocked. They tied in March and their overall record and points difference were virtually identical.
On Parallel Courses, Bend and Camas Seek Oregon Title
It seemed like these two teams were destined to play for the Rugby Oregon boys HS championship.
Camas, back into Oregon after a short foray into competing in Washington (which is the state where the town of Camas is located), played the Bend Blues in the opening weekend of the season and the two teams tied 20-20.
State Championships Just Won and On the Horizon
We are getting heavily into state championship time just as the Boys HS National Championships loom for next week.
Florida
Okapi was upset by Key Biscayne in the state final, with the Rats winning 25-12.
These two teams faced off March 7 and Okapi won 33-22. But the Rats players were fairly certain they could reverse that.
Playoff Time in Western HS Leagues
Playoffs and trophies are at stake in the West now in boys HS rugby.
