Upstate New York Conference

The Upstate New York Men’s Collegiate Rugby Conference (UNYMCRC) is a regional collegiate club-rugby competition affiliated with National Collegiate Rugby (NCR), organizing men’s college-rugby teams from the Upstate New York region. It provides an organized league schedule and standings platform for its member schools, facilitating club-level rugby competition among colleges in this region. While detailed information about tier‐levels, promotion/relegation, or exact membership is somewhat limited in publicly accessible sources, the conference clearly serves as a structured competitive home for upstate New York college rugby clubs.

Cortland Eyes Upstate Title

Last year's Upstate NY conference season was one full of questions, and sometimes a surprise answer.

SUNY Cortland looked to be the dominant team as they finished 8-0 in the regular season, but lost to SUNY Oswego in the playoffs. The road to the playoffs itself was interesting, as it wasn't until the last weekend of the season before we knew what the matchups were.

In a battle of teams that really don’t know each other, you never know what you’re going to get.

In the second of two Men’s DII College playoff brackets in Pittsburgh, SUNY Oswego plays Rhode Island, while Wisconsin-Whitewater takes on Springfield.

Oswego Shows Mettle in Wining Upstate NY

A day after they won an overtime semifinal, SUNY Oswego upset #17 SUNY Cortland to win the Upstate NY Conference.

Ithaca Extends Upstate NY Reign

Ithaca College returns to the DII fall Round of 32 as the Upstate New York champion, and runner-up SUNY Geneseo is also making the trip to the post-season. The pair played to an exciting conference finale last weekend, one that wasn’t truly decided until the final minutes of the contest.

Playoff Places on the Line in Upstate NY

SUNY Cortland can put the stamp on their solid weekend with a win over Niagara this weekend. 

Cortland is 6-0 and Niagara, 5-1-1, having played one more game, is the only team in the Upstate NY Men’s DII conference that can catch them in them
