LCA, Herriman Show Well at Puriri Tournament
Your big winners coming out of the Puriri Tournament seem to be Herriman and Layton Christian Academy.
Those two teams are certainly two of the major state contenders this year, along with defending state champs East HS. While East faltered a little, it's important to remember that the Puriri Tournament, while competitive, is still a warmup tournament.
Some Space Still Available for Montana HS Invitational
Bozeman, Mont.—The Montana Invitational High School Rugby Tournament, an exciting new tournament bringing together high school teams from across the country is still accepting applications.
The tournament will take place on April 26-27, 2025 at Bozeman Sports Park Complex, with teams from across the country already confirmed.
Great Midwest Classic Tournament-Space Available
Registration is open for the Great Midwest Rugby Classic at St. Xavier HS in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The tournament will feature three divisions: two competitive divisions plus a freshman/sophomore round-robin event. This will allow teams to be put into their proper competitive level.
Thunder Wins Pacific Coast Invitational
Thunder Rugby backed up last week's 3rd-place win in SoCal with a 2-0 performance at the Pacific Invitational this weekend.
Thunder beat a very tough SFGG side 34-32 on Day One. The Thunder forwards got their team on the board first, and SFGG responded, and that exvhange was a harbinger of how the game would go.
Dramatic Ending for Exciting Gonzaga Classic Gonzaga vs Charlotte lived up to the billing to cap off the Gonzaga Classic, a tournament that provided some outstanding competition throughout. Gonzaga made the final with a difficult 14-0 semifinal win over Shawnigan Lake.
