We're a week or two from seeing Northern California get their season going, but Texas starts now and added to that we have some notable crossover games.
Cathedral Catholic, one of the stronger single-school teams in Southern California will host Charlotte Catholic in a fixture that could well become an annual thing. Charlotte Catholic is leading their division of the North Carolina league by a hefty margin.
North Carolina School Standings
They aren't the only travelers, as Bishop O'Dowd from Northern California comes in to play Torrey Pines and then Cathedral Catholic over the weekend.
Meanwhile, the Storer Classic is on and that's its own massive meeting of teams from various regions, including North Carolina (Oceanside, which is actually from South Carolina but plays in NC), Utah, Arizona, and Northern California.
There are some B-side games in there, as well, and while this is an intriguing tournament, it is still a warmup tournament and teams such as SOC Raptors will probably be missing players.
And in Texas, Dallas Jesuit hosts New Orleans Jesuit in the Texas Varsity Cup (which includes the Louisiana team). This is the opener, but it's an important one for a very strong Dallas team, and a chance for Jesuit NOLA to rebound from an early loss to Brother Martin.
