St. Thomas On to Texas Final

St. Thomas of Houston got by Strake Jesuit 28-17 in the Texas Varsity semifinals Friday.

They await the winner of Celina and Dallas Jesuit.

This was a very well-attended match and carried with it some of that classic Texas HS sports atmosphere.

Freshman lock Zane Murray got St. Thomas going with a try within two minutes, but after that it was an almighty tussle.

Led by three tries from Boaz Schappaugh Celina HS shut out Lake Travis 66-0 over the weekend.
That win has the Texas team solidly among the top teams in the Texas Boys Varsity Cup North Division.
As we mapped out a few days ago, the Celina team has managed to take a step forward despite having to replace almost their entire pack.

Celina is now 2-0 in the Texas Varsity Cup.

Celina HS has emerged as a team to watch after their sterling win over Dallas Jesuit last week and then this week in their 88-12 victory over Allen.
