Urban Rugby Championship Announces Teams to Compete in March
Dallas, Texas — The Urban Rugby Championship (URC) has announced the seven premier programs selected to compete in its 5th Annual tournament this March in Dallas.
Supported by the US Rugby Foundation (USRF), this milestone event brings together the nation’s most impactful urban rugby organizations to showcase high-performance talent from under-resourced communities.
Mira Costa Girls Roll to SCIRF Title
The Mira Costa Girls rugby team ran their win streak to 23 consecutive games and capped off their 7s season with a SCIRF championship.
The Lady Mustangs were in dominant form in the final tournament, outscoring their opposition 117-12 in four games, with three shutouts.
Mira Costa, St Anthony Shine in SoCal Girls 7s
Mira Costa and St. Anthony are looking very strong in Southern California’s two girls 7s competition.
After losing their opening match of the season 20-19, Mira Costa has emerged as the team to beat.
The Mustangs rebounded from that 20-19 loss to Cathedral Catholic by immediately beating the Dons 25-17 on the same day.
Four HS Winners Crowned in NY 7s
The Toronto Reds won the NY 7s Boys Premier championship for the second time in a row, Saturday.
The Reds beat Atlantis 25-15 in the final on a chilly evening at Randall’s Island in New York City.
It wasn’t all Toronto Reds over the day’s play, however, as they were edged 19-14 by Atlantis in their opening pool match.
Last-Second Try Drives New-Look Father Ryan to 7s Title
The Father Ryan High School Fighting Irish capped off their 2025 rugby season with one of the most memorable runs in recent Tennessee high school rugby history.
