NCR All-Stars A Great Idea That Needs One Thing Changes
The New England Independents won their second straight NCR All-Star Championship on Sunday, defeating the Pacific Coast Grizzlies 28-0.
The tournament echoes some of the old ways of playing, with top players coming together in regional squads to play each other in what is intended to be a higher-level step to even greater heights.
MetNY U23s Win NY 7s Club Bracket
The METNY U23 team won the Men's Club Bracket at the New York 7s Saturday, making it two championships in a row after winning the collegiate bracket in 2019.
On the way to the title the Met NY U23s beat Elysium All Stars, NYRFC, the Bermuda National Team, and BDA7s.
Southeast NCR All-Stars Program
The Southeast section of the National Collegiate Rugby Organization have today announced their intention to compete in the NCR Allstar and Rising Stars tournament at the Houston Sabercats Stadium in January.
The team also announced its team name—The Bears—along with their coaching staff.
Midwest College All-Star Program Names Coaching Staff
The Midwest Region is excited to announce the coaching staff for the 2022 NCR All-Star competition this January in Houston: Jeramy Katchuba, Tyler Selleck, Joe Lippert, Hamish McCallion and Lance Houia. This group is actively taking nominations from Midwest NCR clubs.
USA South Impresses in the Heat over Met NY U23s
The USA South Panthers U23s defeated the MetNY U23s 37-15 this past weekend in a clash of young select sides.
This was a 15s game and pitted players from college and just out of college. MetNY had won three games leading into this clash, which was played as a curtain-raiser for the Old Glory DC and Austin Gilgronis Major League Rugby game.
