Boys School-Team Rankings Week 17

Herriman moves back to #1 after an excellent showing in Montana, including a 40-0 shutout of Jesuit.

Even though St. Ignatius beat Xavier (and yes it was wet and rainy or whatever), they didn't control things the way Herriman did.

St. Edward moves up thanks to an excellent showing against a very good Detroit Catholic Central.

Teams Finalized for 2026 Boys HS National Championships

The field of teams for the 2026 Boys HS Rugby National Championships has been finalized.

April 25 brought the final play-in match with Thunder capping off a strong regular season by beating Belmont Shore. They had already defeated SOC Raptors and so take the 2nd spot out of SoCal, with league-leaders (and defending national club champs) San Diego Mustangs back already.

Gonzaga, Doylestown Tops at Gonzaga Classic

Gonzaga hosted their Gonzaga Classic over the weekend, with the host team taking the Boys Varsity bracket, while Doylestown impressed in the Girls Varsity bracket and took the final.

Gonzaga College HS inducted their 2014-2016 teams, which won three state National Championships, into the Gonzaga Athletic Hall of Fame, so there were plenty of alumni watching the games.

Herriman Heats Up Snowy in Montana Invitational

Herriman won a chilly, snowy Montana Invitational in fairly convincing fashion Saturday, wrapping up a sweep of their four shortened matches.

The Mustangs split their squad a bit on Friday, beating Liberty 57-14 with one group and then shutting out Kahuku 24-0 with another.
