Lurking in the West in men’s D2 college rugby has been Colorado Mesa, who this past weekend won big over a very tough Boise State to secure a place in the NCR playoffs.

With Liam Brannan coming in as Head Coach from AIC, the CMU rugby team has blossomed in part because of what happens off the field.

Cornell wrapped up an undefeated conference season, going 8-0, including semis and final, as they beat RPI in the Liberty D2 championship match.

Vermont Lays Down a Marker in Win over Norwich

University of Vermont laid down a marker in the rain Friday with a convincing 42-12 defeat of their main NACR conference rivals, Norwich.

The Catamounts got big games from their lock pairing of John Henry Beling and Jack Worobel, who got some hard yards and played strong in the rucks. Hooker Harry Missing was a terror with the ball.
