The Northwest Collegiate Rugby Conference (NCRC) is a university rugby conference in the United States that includes schools from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. It organizes both men's and women's rugby teams at various divisions, including a D1-AA league, and is affiliated with national governing bodies like the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR)

The NCRC holds tournaments for both 15s and 7s rugby formats.

Western Washington Opens 2019 On Winning Note

The Western Washington Vikings won two games of the weekend, beating the University of Victoria U21s 39-14 while also taking care of the University of Washington 53-31 in the B-side game.

This was the first outing for WWU since the victory over Oregon State on November 17 and the rust was evident.

The University of Oregon Ducks visited Bellingham, Wash. for an important match up with the 3-0 WWU Vikings. They went home on the wrong end of a 66-7 score. 

On a high after beating Oregon State, UO has thoughts of moving up in the NCRC, but Western continues to improve.

Boise State Upsets Oregon

Boise State pulled off a bit of a surprise result in the Northwest Collegiate Rugby Conference, beating Oregon 53-28.

Led by a superb defensive effort from No. 8 Joe Green, Boise State put in one of its more complete efforts.

BSU started six freshmen and three sophomores.

University of Washington Goes Independent

The University of Washington Huskies will be playing an independent schedule for the coming 2017-18 season.

Director of Rugby Mike Alfstad said the decision has been under consideration for some years now, and it wasn't to do with dissatisfaction with the NCRC conference.
