The California Collegiate Conference is a regional collegiate rugby conference affiliated with the College Rugby Association of America (CRAA) that operates two levels, D1A and D1AA.

The league realignment in 2022-23 marked its expansion and formal establishment of the two divisions, with plans for promotion and relegation between the levels going forward.

A Closer Look at SMCC Over Utah

Saint Mary’s logged another win with a 55-12 decision over Utah Saturday.

For the Gaels, the first half was pretty much what they wanted. They pushed aside any concerns about wet weather and rain, and just played, setting up Aaron Matthews for the opening try with some smooth passing down the line.

San Diego State Edges Cal Poly

San Diego State defeated Cal Poly 13-8 Saturday in a preseason meeting between the two California Conference foes.

This was not the conference meeting between the Aztecs and Mustangs, and more served as a warmup for the conference season. Certainly is wasn’t an especially smooth game, where neither team was able to use the full width of the field the way they might like.
