4 Remain in DII Mid-Atlantic Region
The Mid-Atlantic Region is joining the Northeast at Vassar College next weekend for the women’s DII college fall quarterfinals. The Rutgers vs. Stonehill Round of 32 match occurred Sunday, naming the fourth Mid-Atlantic representative to advance to the Round of 16. Read more for the Northeast teams.
Northeast Names R16 Reps
The Northeast has concluded its portion of the DII fall Round of 32, and all four of the higher seeds were victorious. The teams will contest their Round of 16 matches at Vassar College on Saturday, Nov. 21, and the victors will play for a berth to the final four on Sunday.
R32: Northeast Region Preview
Five conferences are represented in the Northeast Region of the women’s DII college fall playoffs. This weekend’s Round of 32 will name four victors in this quarter of the bracket, and the quartet will head to the Round of 16 at Vassar College on Nov. 21-22. Continuing with the women's DII college fall regional previews, the Rocky Mountain is up next (read more for the Mid-Atlantic preview). This section of the Round of 32 is simpler, as there are only six teams competing instead of the traditional eight.
Salisbury Stands Atop Capital
During the Capital conference’s first two years of existence, the women’s DII college final has fulfilled every expectation for a season-peaking match. On both occasions, Mary Washington beat Salisbury by single digits (24-17 in 2013, 29-24 in 2014), and the pair lined up once again on Sunday.
