Iona Impressive in Opener
Iona College started their fall 2015 season with an impressive 50-8 defeat of Fordham this past weekend.
The Gaels started their season with characteristic vigor on defense, getting to the Fordham ballcarriers with speed and pushing the Rams backward. And when Iona got the ball, they were equally aggressive in challenging Fordham.

Iona v WJU Raises Questions
One of two games between two ranked teams, Iona at Wheeling Jesuit has much to recommend it. First of all, it's a Christian Brothers school (Iona), against a Jesuit school (guess which one that is).
Second, it's a club team that has undergone a major overhaul, mostly thank to the expansion of the coaching staff, against a varsity program that is still developing and growing.
Aircraft Charter Solutions PoW - Michael Marro
Iona College put Michael Marro on the wing last weekend and gave him one job - shadow St. Bonaventure’s towering Greg Johnson.
Now, that’s a big job for a freshman in any situation - worry about one of the other team’s weapons and make sure he doesn’t hurt you - but consider also that Johnson is 6-5 and 210 pounds, while Marro is 5-10 (most of that hair) and 165 pounds.
