GRR: Northern California
De La Salle, the #2-ranked school team in GRR's rankings, pulled off a nicely-taken win in Northern California this past weekend, handling Mother Lode despite being without a few regular starters.
Injuries have hit De La Salle a bit but Head Coach Derek Holmberg said he was confident with the team he took to paly Mother Lode.
There's a long list of solid teams in Northern California, and there seem to be few easy games, but at the same time, all eyes seem to be on Granite Bay and De La Salle at the top.
The top-ranked teams in Northern California kept winning in a league that is establishing itself as one of the strongest in the nation.

Granite Bay continued their run of excellent results with a 33-17 win over Jesuit of Sacramento.
"We're big, strong, and fast in our top 23," said Granite Bay Head Coach Chris Miller, who has to take some credit for the Grizzlies' success this season but doesn't seem to want to. "We've got players with high rugby IQ, and we've avoided the injury plague."
De La Salle put an emphatic finish on the California school competition with a 52-24 defeat of Torrey Pines in the final held at the Saint Mary's College stadium.
Jesuit of Sacramento took 3rd, holding off a determined Long Beach Poly 28-22.
