We are unveiling our D2 Hot 100 for the fall of 2025.
This list (which is a little bit more than 100, actually) is the result of our own observations, observations and input from coaches and other people we listen to.
As often happens, we don't get a perfect spread of players per position. It's pretty common for us to have to work harder to find dominant locks in this level, although this year we're OK there. Loose forward is a position category that gets a lot of players nominated, and sometimes that's just because what those positions do can often be more visible than the positive actions of locks.
Flyhalf and center usually outnumber wing in D2 in part because, for some teams in the division, getting the ball to the wing is tough.
We start with loose forward, lumping together blindside flanker, openside flanker, and No. 8 in a group because so many of these players shift position. We have 28 players on this list.
