Harvard took clear control of NIRA DI Saturday with a very strong second half to beat Lindenwood on the road.

The two teams, who last met in the NIRA DI final in 2025, played very tight in the opening stanza, with

Lindenwood drew first blood when Allison Honeycutt scored in the 12th minute. But Harvard came right back with Morgan Gibson went over to tie it 5-5.

It remained that score almost into halftime. Harvard were down a player due to a yellow card to Lolua Tauanu'u and Lindenwood had the Crimson under pressure. However, Harvard weathered the storm, and a brilliant run by Sana'a Lunon set up a chance for Lunon to go over. That made it 10-5 at the break.

So it seemed like it would be tight the rest of the match, but instead Harvard took control.

Sophie Hayes, Josephine Mignone, and Lunon all scored tries in a torrid 15-minute burst that put Harvard ahead 31-5. Eseta Pale's late try iced it.

With the win Harvard is 5-0 in NIRA action and will almost certainly be the #1 seed into the playoffs.

Lindenwood, meanwhile, drops to 2-2 and it's all to play for in the other three playoff spots. Lindenwood, Sacred Heart, West Point, and AIC, with Brown still potentially in the mix, all will be looking for that shot. Sunday's AIC vs Sacred Heart match will be a big one.
