Motion Filed in Court to Half Elimination of Quinnipiac Women's Rugby Program

Twenty-three college athletes from the Quinnipiac University women’s rugby team, including a group of incoming recruits, today filed a motion in federal court seeking a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction to stop the University from eliminating their varsity program and to address what could be Title IX violations affecting female athletes. 

AIC women and men will have Associate Head Coaches work under DOR Jameson Bonti.

AIC Hires Edward, Ritter-Truxal as Associate Head Coaches

American International College Director of Rugby Jameson Bonti has announced that Levi Edwards will be the Associate Head Men’s Rugby Coach, and in addition, one of the most decorated student-athletes in the history of AIC, Annekkia Ritter-Truxal, will remain at her alma mater as Associate Head Women’s Rugby Coach.

Edwards will assist in all aspects of the Men's program.

All-NIRA Selections Announced

The National Intercollegiate Rugby Association has made its all-NIRA selections for DI.

Four players from champions Harvard are on the First Team All-DI, including Sorensen Award nominees Gemma Ogoke and Tiahna Padilla.

AIC won the earlier matchup with West Chester this season, but things might well be different in the final.
