The Washington Athletic Club hosted the Rudy Scholz and MA Sorensen Awards dinner Saturday night in Seattle, with Solomon Williams and Tiahna Padilla being honored as the nation's top collegiate rugby players.
The Awards Celebration was sponsored in part by Kells Irish Restaurant and Pub in Seattle.
Motion Filed in Court to Halt Elimination of Quinnipiac Women's Rugby Program
Twenty-three college athletes from the Quinnipiac University women’s rugby team, including a group of incoming recruits, today filed a motion in federal court seeking a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction to stop the University from eliminating their varsity program and to address what could be Title IX violations affecting female athletes.
AIC Hires Edward, Ritter-Truxal as Associate Head Coaches
American International College Director of Rugby Jameson Bonti has announced that Levi Edwards will be the Associate Head Men’s Rugby Coach, and in addition, one of the most decorated student-athletes in the history of AIC, Annekkia Ritter-Truxal, will remain at her alma mater as Associate Head Women’s Rugby Coach.
Edwards will assist in all aspects of the Men's program.
