In a much-anticipated matchup that didn't deliver the drama fans had hoped for, Saint Mary's defeated Arizona 68-15 Saturday in Moraga, Calif.
What Saint Mary's has is a group of players who play wide-open rugby with confidence and daring. They combine that with a group of leaders who keep everyone calm. The result is a quick and lethal early strike and tries.

With John Wilson at prop and locks Matthew Abbes and Brian McKeon playing tough, the Gaels were able to unleash their elusive runners—flyhalf Sosaia Pongi, Siale Ofa, Mario Storti among them.
And finsihing off all of that is capped Eagle Dom Besag, who scored two tries in the first half as the Gaels stormed to a 49-5 lead on seven converted tries.
