Dartmouth won what might have been a must-win game for them, taking Saturday's clash with AIC 57-19 to improve to

With that victory we'll have to wait for the Power Raknings, but it seems likely that AIC will drop a couple of spots, with Davenport possibly passing Lindenwood into 2nd, or at least being right behind the Lions in 3rd.

Marley Larkin led the Big Green with four tries and Annie Henrich added 22 pojns in the victory.

Henrich scored two tries and added six conversions, while Vanessa Ortiz-Pallen bookended the match with a pair of tries. Jordynn LeBeau also crossed the try line for Dartmouth.

AIC hung on early and it was it was 21-12 with halftime approaching. But tries from Henrich and Larkin just beofre the break put a big cushion in.

This ias, in the end, an impressive win for Dartmouth. Meanwhile, it was not a death knell at all for AIC.

“I feel really good about where we are going into this stretch," said AIC Coach Nikki Ritter-Truxhal, whose team moved to a schedule of DI teams. "When we made the move we knew we were stepping into a level where we were going to be challenged every week, and that’s exactly what we wanted. Dartmouth, Brown, and Sacred Heart are great programs and we have a lot of respect for what they’ve built, but we’re also really confident in what we’re building at AIC.

"At the same time, I think there’s something really exciting about where we are as a program. We’re still earning people’s respect at this level, and I think our group embraces that. Nothing is going to be handed to us, and honestly, I think that fits who we are."

So AIC wants to compete, and they battled here, but didn't finish. AIC now has Brown, Sacred Heart, and Harvard, and they absolutely can do enough to get into the semis.
