Well it's going to go the way everyone expected.

The San Diego Mustangs and Charlotte Cardinals are the two strongest HS clubs in the nation.

The Mustangs and the Cardinals both won convincingly in the HS National Championships HS Club bracket.

Facing a very tough Doylestown team that is very good at ball control, the Cardinals front up superbly.

Doylestown was going to win by winning the point of contact and forcing Charlotte into mistakes. But the Cardinals did well, playing with precision and also fronting-up impressively in contact.

Hooker Rocco Lopresti scored two tries and all-everything lock Lukas Lupinski also scored, while Max Colson and Luke Zehmke ran the attack and kept the pressure on.

Charlotte was smart, brave, and adventurous in winning 57-10.

The Mustangs had had to face Utah #2/ LCA to get to the semis, and there they faced another Utah side, Cavemen. San Diego exploded to take a 19-0 lead. Prop Ean Glover, wing Reese Reiter, and flanker Adrian Aybar scored to set up a 19-0 lead.

San Diego moved the ball quickly and kept the Cavemen defense scrambling. The Utah side did get a try from prop Dalin Afu, but after that the Mustangs began to pull away.

Inside center Dylan Trower led the Mustangs in the backline while Duck Choy put in some massive hits and Glover was a force. San Diego took control and won 40-7.

LCA defeated Okapi in the 5th-place semifinals, LCA moved it wide well and wing Ryder Paea scored two tries. In a losing cause, Okapi flyhalf Joaquin Rodriguez scored three.

In the other 5th-place semi, Woodlands stormed out to a lead, testing the Thunder defense and winning the physical battle. Lock Kai Hart scored three tries and flyhalf Trace Snellman added two and kicked three conversions.

But Thunder held on, and came back to win it late 31-26.
