Even the most lopsided game had its difficult moments. Herriman took on St. Edward and those teams traded scores early.

Explosive Club Bracket in Day One of HS Nationals
The top two teams in the Boys HS National Championship club competition looked like it Thursday.
The Charlotte Cardinals had to work through a physical and confrontational Woodlands team, but as their match progressed they pulled away.
Pressure after a penalty allowed Charlotte to run their pattern and put No. 8 Kai Campbell over on a hard run.
Seeds Shaken Up in Tier II Day One
Much of the talk about the Boys HS National Championship Tier II was whether the seedings would hold up.
Having won the NorCal Gold Division in impressive fashion, the Carmichael Hawks were clearly bristling at being seeded 8th, and they showed it in their play. Moving the ball wide and also powering through the middle the Hawks forced Fort Hunt to commit to their tackles.
