Chris Wyles Retires from International 15s
BOULDER, Colo. (USA Rugby Release) – Chris Wyles has retired from international XVs duty with the Men’s Eagles, USA Rugby announced Monday, to focus on the remaining years of his contract with Saracens RFC in England and to push for the Rio 2016 Olympic Summer Games.
Eagles 7s Prepare for Next Battle
Going into Dubai and Cape Town, USA Men’s 7s Head Coach Mike Friday said his team was “undercooked,” meaning he would have liked some more time with them before the start of the season.
They didn’t look so undercooked, though, beating New Zealand twice and taking 3rd in the opening tournament, an event that has often been a tough one for the Eagles.
More from Mitchell
Goff Rugby Report sat down with new USA 15s MNT Coach John Mitchell for an interview posted this past weekend.
We didn't use all of his comments in the original interview, so here are some additional comments from the new Eagles coach:
Eagles Squad for Wellington, Sydney Picked
CHULA VISTA, Calif. – The USA Men's 7s team has been named for the Sevens World Series stops in Wellington, New Zealand and Sydney, Australia.
U20s Assemble at Lindenwood
ST. CHARLES, Mo. (From USA Rugby Release) – USA Rugby's Men's Junior All-Americans will re-assemble Friday in the program's second camp of th 2015-16 season.
Interim Head Coach JD Stephenson will host the team at his very own Lindenwood University - a move that makes sense given that Stephenson is there anyway and was able to get things ready and provide the field space.
