Founded in 2025, the Atlantic Rugby Conference is the pinnacle of collegiate men’s rugby in the United States. Home to powerhouse varsity programs backed by their institutions, ARC teams compete at the highest level in National Collegiate Rugby’s Division I. Since 2022, these 6 teams have dominated the national stage, capturing the National 7s Premier Cup Championship three times—solidifying the conference’s legacy of excellence.

Beyond the pitch, Atlantic Rugby schools offer world-class academics, pairing elite education with elite athletics. Student-athletes benefit from full varsity support and direct pathways to All-American honors and national recognition programs through National Collegiate Rugby.

Queens vs Thomas More Game Gives Some Pre-Playoff Insight

One of the things that is rare to nail down is how some conferences match up with others.
This can be especially true within NCR, where the short runway of the fall means that inter-conference games mid-season are a luxury.

Close Games Punctuate Ever-Tighter ARC

Those of you who follow Goff Rugby Report know that we love close games, and we love a conference with frequent close games.

The new Atlantic Rugby Conference, formed out of five NCR teams that used to be in the Rugby East, and bolstered by Wheeling, have been providing those games. This past weekend, the three ARC matches produced a total ... total ... winning margin of eight points.

Thrilling Finish in Bonnies vs Queens

St. Bonaventure pulled out a tough win over Queens in Charlotte, NC Saturday, scoring on the final play of the game to come back to win in this ARC conference match in NCR's D1.

Queens got an early try when captain and tighthead prop Roan Shawver ran hard onto a tips pass and was through for a long gallop.

Good Start in ARC for Cardinals, Bonnies

The newly-minted ARC conference kicked off this weekend with St. Bonaventure and Wheeling logging impressive wins.

This conference was created by five NCR teams that used to be in the Rugby East, plus Wheeling out of Big Rivers. This conference will (as we understand) get five playoff spots into NCR's D1 postseason, so it is expected to be competitive.
