In the 20-40 section of this week's DIAA rankings we don't have a lot of movement, but there are key developments near the top.

Rice Announces Comeback with Win Over SHSU

This past week’s 29-26 victory for Rice over Sam Houston State is a big statement for an Owls team that has been a bit in the rugby wilderness for a few years.

Liberty Finalists Set as We Check on NCR D1AA Playoffs

UMass and Boston College will face off in the Liberty Conference DIAA final after both won semifinals over the weekend.

Once again UMass unleashed their stifling defense to get past Columbia.

"It was a grind," said UMass Head Coach Phil Ciccarelli. "But it was a great team effort."

As a reminder, here are the seed spots:

Eleven spots for teams going directly to the Round of 16.

Ten teams in a play-in weekend November 11.
