NorCal Youth 7s Series Starts Off Well
NorCal Youth 7s Series Starts Off Well
Over 60 high school, U23, and youth teams converged on Dixon, Calif. Sunday for the opening 7s tournament of the Northern California Youth Rugby summer series.
A combination side playing as Peninsula Green, whose 15s team had knocked off Jesuit B in the NorCal playoffs earlier this spring, was solid and won all their games in Boys Varsity Gold, while Pleasanton won all of their games in Boys Varsity Silver (we think).
Some brackets played just a specific amount of games per team, rather than expanding to a knockout phase, but the Girls Varsity bracket saw a final between the Sacramento Amazons and Pleasanton, and that game ended in a tie.
The brackets uncluded U14, U12, U10, and younger.
