High-Level Battle as Torrey Pines Holds Off Cathedral Cathollic

More drama in Southern California was Torrey Pines held off a determined Cathedral Catholic 38-33 to stake their claim to the top spot in SoCal's new Premier school league.

These two teams played to a tie in 2025, and that was before SoCal's school league and the SCIRF league joined forces. With the Falcons and the Dons now in the same league, the game had even more meaning.

SoCal Latest: Torrey Pines, Mira Costa, Cathedral

We’re now in the thick of the new SoCal Premier League and things are pretty close.

Bucking that trend would be Cathedral Catholic, which won big over St. Augustine, but the other two games in the league were within a try.

Southern California's new-look single-school league is back after the winter break with three games this weekend.

A solid-looking Cathedral takes on a St. Augustine team that edged Mira Costa in December 27-26.
