Well it was pretty dramatic in Rugby East action Saturday with two nailbiters producing two historic results.
St. Bonaventure recorded their first ever win over the modern era over West Point, and Mount St. Mary's recorded their first ever win over Kutztown.
St. Bonaventure Skipper Rick Rose is MLR #1 Draft Pick
Rick Rose of St. Bonaventure is the #1 pick in the 2023 Major League Rugby draft, getting the nod from expansion club Miami.
Rose was the captain of St. Bonaventure, leading them to a NCR D1 title in the fall of 2021. The 6-7 lock is a powerful forward on defense, wins lineouts, is an excellent leader, and someone who puts in a ton of work around the park.
