SoCal Final Down to Wire
On a weekend of drama in HS state championships, Southern California chimed in with one of their own.
In a dramatic, back-and-forth contest, Back Bay took the Southern California Boys HS club title 25-24 over the Coastal Dragons.
“It was a great game to watch I am sure, but not so great for the coaching staffs,” said Back Bay Coach Jeff Bonnett.

Back Bay has joined the Coastal Dragons in the final of the Southern California Boys HS club championship after the Sharks beat the San Diego Yougn Aztecs 60-3 Saturday.

Mira Costa Challenges Rangitoto
New Zealand touring side Rangitoto College faced off with SoCal single-school champs Mira Costa this past weekend in what turned out to be a real back-and-forth contest.
Mira Costa, which won the SoCal Varsity White Division back in February, hadn't played as a unit since then, but is now gearing up for a run at the Boys NIT. This game with Rangitoto was quite the wakeup.
