Cal Poly (GRR #11) put to rest any discussion of whether they would be overtaken for 2nd in the California Conference, as the Mustangs beat the upstart #21 UCSB Gauchos 73-13 to secure that 2nd spot.
Conference and Rankings Decisions in D1A Weekend
The California Conference decided its champion last week with Saint Mary's defeating Cal Poly in what turned out to be a close one.
This week we decide who takes 2nd with Cal Poly playing upstarts UC Santa Barbara. It's likely that the Mustangs are favored, but this has still been a good year for the Gauchos and we could well see them in the postseason in some form.
