UNC Snaps UVA's Undefeated Streak
With 15 minutes left in the match, DI Mason Dixon rivals North Carolina and Virginia were within two points of each other. One might have sided with UVA to pull ahead in the final quarter considering the team had a much more successful fall record. Phoenix Alpharetta Downs Charlotte Tigers
Phoenix Alpharetta completed a successful weekend with a 19-0 defeat of the visiting Charlotte Tigers Saturday, following a 67-0 defeat of Walton HS in league play.
North Carolina JV Boys Win in South
The North Carolina Junior Varsity finished the South Regional All Star Tournament 4-0 in the JV bracket, beating Georgia to finish a North Carolina sweep in the boys divisions in Marietta, Ga.
The team was led by Reid Brandt (Charlotte Catholic) and coached by Justin Goonan, and had to battle through some close games to get to the final.
