Prusmack Awards Handed Out Over US Rugby Foundation Weekend
This past weekend during the US Rugby Foundation Hall of Fame awards event, the Prusmack Award winners were recognized.
The Prusmack Award is given to the top collegiate 7s players in the nation—one for a men's player, and one for a women's player.
This year, and, actually, not for the first time, both winners come from Life University.
Trust and a Chip on Their Shoulders—Oregon Wins CRAA D1AA 7s
With all the D1AA teams coming out of the playoffs and into the CRAA 7s, it was easy to forget about the Oregon Ducks.
How Many Champions?
With Life University and the University of Oregon both winning over the weekend in the CRAA Men's 7s, we now have the final championships of the collegiate season.
All-in-all, there were 27 major national-level championships for the 2025-26 season, including CRAA, NCR, and NIRA. That's down from 31 a few years ago
D1AA Bracket and D1A Teams in Expanded CRAA Men's 7s
The Collegiate season officially ends this weekend with the CRAA Men’s 7s in Iowa City, Iowa.
For the first time in several years, CRAA will host a D1A-level tournament as well as their more regular D1AA event. The D1A bracket is small, and in a way a small step back into this realm, but it’s there, which wasn’t the case over the last two seasons.
CRC Men's Brackets—Three Birds and a Rock
Wheeling once again won the NCR CRC 7s Men’s Premier bracket, taking this trophy for the third time in a row.
The Cardinals edged Dartmouth 14-12 in the final, the fifth straight game for the Big Green that was decided by a try or less.
