Thomas More, Marian Through to Big Rivers Final

Marian and Thomas More move on to the Big Rivers final after both won semifinals this weekend.

Thomas More, the #1 seed from the East defeated Iowa Central 53-7 in fairly dominant fashion. For the Saints this was an indication of their improvement after they started the season with a loss to Kutztown.

Marian University pulled off a wild win Friday night, beating Notre Dame 32-30 in a non-conference game.

Knights fullback Reese Reddington scored two tries in the final three minutes to pull the game out for Marian.

Preseason Match Competitive Between Marian, Davenport

Marian University pulled off their second-straight close win in their preseason Saturday with a 27-25 defeat of Davenport.

The Knights came back from a 22-5 deficit to win the game. While this was a preseason match and Davenport changed up some combinations, it was still a strong showing for Marian.
