BYU Official - Postseason Decision Not Made Yet

Brigham Young University's extramural sports office says that BYU Men's Rugby has not decided yet what postseason the program will play in.

Despite several sources telling Goff Rugby Report that BYU is out of the Varsity Cup, Extramural Sports Administrator Brandon Bradley, who oversees the men's rugby program, told Goff Rugby Report that no decision has been made.

Conference play is the goal of USA Rugby’s Collegiate Rugby division, and they are looking to get those that played independent schedules to find a conference for next season.

But at the same time, the world of college rugby conferences is fluid, and we’re unlikely to find that in 2017-18 everything will be settled.

The commissioners of the DIA Conferences have voted unanimously to accept BYU as an independent team effective immediately, say sources.
