More and more high school leagues are getting started, and Utah Youth Rugby kicks off this weekend two weeks after the Ra Puriri Invitational, which was a nice warmup for teams in Utah and Arizona.

Now? Well it will be a while before we see any teams really percolate up. Word is that Genesis has numbers (hence their 2nd side playing in a game against Cache) and quality. Mountain Ridge plays Genesis in a bit of a trial by fire for the new team. 

Mountain Ridge showed well in 7s in the fall—Newcomers Mountain Ridge Climbing High In Utah Fall 7s—but 15s is another matter. It'll also be interesting to see the West Valley Warriors against United. United is usually strong, and looked good in their opening salvo two weeks ago. The Warriors usually finish well, but their starts can be under question. So if the Warriors start well ... watch out.

We've got all kinds of questions to answer throughout the country. We've got five teams in Ohio we're tracking right now. Who will bubble up? Phoenix Alpharetta renews its rivalry with South Greenville in South Carolina, and up-and-coming Berks faces an Aspetuck team that hardly graduated anyone from last year's team. The Southern California teams that played warmup games last week repeat that, with the addition of San Diego, which won big in Arizona last week. 

Oh, and don't forget perennial national title contenders Royal Irish opening up against St. Edward.

And all of this despite some regions already being on Spring Break. That's OK, we'll build from here.
