A very busy weekend for the NCR D1 teams prompted some rankings shifts.

With Brown quiet and St. Bonaventure playing a scrimmage weekend, we looked closely at teams that could perhaps move up past those leaders this early.

Could be Queens and could be Walsh, and with Walsh looking so in control in their games we are moving them to #1. Now, expect all of this to shift around, especially after we see the Liberty and ARC teams ramp up a bit more. Dartmouth's win over McGill is definitely notable, and Notre Dale won big over an always tough Wisconsin team, so that's worth a look.

We also think Fairfield will move up. Fordham showed well over the weekend and they enter the Top 20, as does Michigan. So far Kutztown has been scoring big. They were last in the ARC in 2025 but this fall could be a different story.

The thing about Fairfield, and indeed SNU and Marian, is that they beat D1AA teams. Fairfield and Southern Nazarene beat good D1AA teams by a wide margin. Marian beat a very good team by a close margin. Could that mean Marian deserves to be higher? Yes, it could.

Next week, here are a few games we can look forward to:

Fairfield at Fordham
Southern Nazarene at Queens
Wheeling at Indiana
Marian at St. Bonaventure
Thomas More at Kutztown
Dartmouth at AIC

All of these could move it around again.
