This past weekend was astonishing in NCR D1.
We had four games in which a Top 10 team played another Top 10 team. The result was two tries, a four-point game, and a 10-point game. Pretty amazing, actually, to see so many close games, and it certainly spells out that the chase for the NCR D1 title will be a bit of a blanket finish. Brown? Yeah, quite possibly, but they are vulnerable. St. Bonaventure? We were all set to move them to #1 if Brown had lost or (as they did) have trouble. Wheeling? Why not?
This is quite a close group. In our rankings we feel like Notre Dame is perhaps ranked a bit low, but we need another game ... hmm ... such as this coming week's clash with Marian.
But overall we think this division is quite close at the top, and possible more than just the first ten teams.
