By the time the fall ends, we expect these DI college rankings to be easier.
After all, the leagues are finished and the playoffs and Bowl Series give us some crossover information. But ... it's not easier. Not at all. With the Empire Conference struggling against the ECRC in their crossover, but doing relatively well in the Bowl Series, we're torn. With some other teams (Oklahoma, Alabama, LSU, Gonzaga) getting some impressive late-fall results, we have to shift more things around.
It's very difficult! Pity us! Well, in the end, the top 25 or so are pretty solid, and we don't anticipate much of a change there. Only if Bowling Green beats Notre Dame College will we see a shift.
After this coming weekend's DIAA fall final, we'll take a break from the rankings, and come back with an overall everyone ranking for the beginning of 2017. Then we're into ranking teams that play in the spring. We'll do that for a while, and finish up with a final ranking of everyone again.
So don't be surprised to see some teams drop out, and then bounce back in later.
