We took two weeks off ranking the D1AA teams because there were a few games, but not enough to move the needle.
Now with the accumulation we're pretty comfortable with the rankings, overall. It seems pretty clear that someone from the top six will be the CRAA champion. Then we get to offend everyone by bringing back the fall teams and trying to ranking all of them together. We think that's n interesting task to take on, but the big issue is that whichever team is #1 in one time period will be quite upset not to be #1 overall. We dodged that, we thought, last year by having the teams tie at #1. People were still miffed.
Anyway ... we'll get there.
This week the major change is Fresno State moving ahead of Chico State after beating said Wildcats. Florida drops down after being beaten by South Florida by a large margin.
The rest of it? Well we are going to see American River play San Diego, and then the winner of that game play Western Washington to see who joins Iowa State and Sam Houston State in the CRAA semis. We also will see the Florida Collegiate Conference playoffs begin this week. The heavy, heavy money is (figuratively) on Florida State vs St. Thomas in the final April 12.
