Men D1A Rankings Week 20

Yes the #1 team is in the background but we've got a photo of the up-and-comers.

This week saw most teams in D1A put together results that were, in general, expected.

Yes it was a good showing by Mount St. Mary's to be tied with Lindenwood with 14 minutes to go. But it's also fair to point out that Lindenwood scored three converted tries in those final 14 minutes. So no move for those two. UCLA was beaten by Cal to the tune of 36-7. The Bruins hung tough in a lot of ways and really could have made it a bit closer. We're not unhappy with that result for #1 vs #10.

So in the end Cal Poly moves up because they just keep producing impressive performances.

Sacramento State moves out after losing to Cal State Long Beach—and we're going to see some shifting up and down with those California teams—and Texas A&M comes in.

That's the changing for now. But this coming weekend, BYU plays Saint Mary's, Trinity Western travels to Arizona, Cal Poly is at Central Washington (!), UBC is at Cal, Life is at Lindenwood, and Adrian at McKendree. That will be a massive rankings weekend.
