The USA Falcons finished Day One at the Mar Del Plata 7s in Argentina with a 1-2 record.

The Americans lost 12-10 to Mar Del Plata in their opener, thanks to a last-second converted try by the hosts.

They then beat Uruguay 15-12, before falling to Argentina 29-12.

Next up, on Sunday, is Canada, which lost all three games on Day 1.

The pools got moved around a bit at the last minute, as the international competition was supposed to be two pools, but now is one single bracket. The top two will play for 1st, the next two for third, and the bottom two for 5th.

The Falcons are currently 4th with two games to go, but if they beat Canada and Litoral, they can jump to at least third, and possibly second (and thus a place in the final).
