Eagles Staff Assembles Domestic Camp in Chula Vista

The USA Men’s 15s program are now assembled in Chula Vista, Calif. for the first camp of the year.

Last year, Head Coach Scott Lawrence said that the reduced size of Major League Rugby might open up space for more Eagle assemblies, and this is the first evidence of that.

Eagle Men's 15s Team is Expanding its Staff

The USA Men's 15s program has posted an opening for an attack coach.

That posting is accompanied by another one for a nutritionist, is probably a reflection on what funding levels are expected from World Rugby now that the Eagles have qualified for the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

Eagle Men Wrap 2025 with Win Over Physical Romanian Side

The record will show that the USA beat Romania 26-18, but really it wasn't that close as the Eagles put in a pretty gritty defensive performance to beat the Oaks in Bucharest and regain the Pershing Cup.

With the win the USA ends 2025 3-6, and 7-3 overall against Romania (not counting the 21-0 win in 1919 between a USA military team and a Romanian mostly military team).

The USA Men's 15s team finishes off their 2025 with the Pershing Cup in Bucharest against Romania, hoping to improve their record for the year to 3-6.
