Army West Point saw their 2025 fall season wrapped up in a tough-minded loss to powerhouse Lindenwood Friday night in St. Charles, Mo.

These two teams had already met this season and the Black Knights had competed well against a Lindenwood team that was expected to challenge for the championship in their first NIRA season.

In the end it was a somewhat similar outcome in both meetings between these two. Lindenwood won 34-22 back on August 30 and 29-22 two and-a-half months later. Only Dartmouth (12-5) and Harvard (winners 26-17) were better against the Lions.

For Army this was a very good season in which they only lost to Harvard and Lindenwood, and were the #3 seed going into the semifinals.

For Lindenwood, the pressure has been on them all season. Expected by some to steamroll through NIRA the Lions had more difficulty than that. This was not a surprise to Lindenwood; the knew that week after week this league provided challenges.

But, as we pointed out, they won most of their games comfortable. At the top, it was a different situation, though.

IN this semifinal Army had to devote a lot of resources to defending Freda Tafuna, and that of course opened up space for others. Amy Brice's breakaway was crucial. Jasmine Fehoko and Domi Platis were also among the try-scorers.

The Lions now will face the winner of Harvard and Dartmouth to then play in the final at Harvard's home field next week.
